CREEK OF THE ROSARY (first part)

It is located to 9 kilometers 750 meters to the southeast of Long Beach and 1 kilometer 750 meters of Creek Ávalo. He/she has 500 meters of longitude from their entrance until the bottom inland. It turns out to be one of the more reguardadas creeks of the coast cenaguero. 
According to the oral history two hypothesis exists on the origin of its name: 
 
- for the loss of a valuable Rosario (string of placed bills of ten in ten that serves from guide when praying), which was looked for unfruitfully by a lot of time. 
- because in the place a family lived in remote times, where the doña had for name: Rosario! 
 
For us, the most guessed right one is the first hypothesis, since we had the great luck to have the help of the family "Fields", the same one that fomented and he/she administered the Property "Lagunillas" alias "Jiquí" during 60 years, position resided there from 1902 until the year 1962, and they affirm that the name of the creek comes from the "string of bills" or Christian rosary. 
 
In the Rosario's Creek it had sowed many cedars, orange trees, lemon undergrowths, coconut trees, almonds, plums, pines had a lot of shade! The excellent natural conditions of the place also given by the potent springs and the Deep River who converge when going into in those protected waters, by the exuberant foliage and pleasant microclimate, were constituted in having had more than enough attributes to attract the men through the time: 
 
- the aboriginal ones left rakes of their continuous visits with those "Kiokenmondingos" (remains of the kitchen and extensive accumulation of shells), and "figured stones." 
- Those "sea wolves" it seems that some descendants left for these places, position "Cosculluela" he/she refers us the case of the "raquero José Triana who had their den in the beautiful Creek in the decline of the XIX century or 1900. 
 
And in fact on that coast pirate Triana, the Enumerador 201 Sixto Agramonte of population's Census and housing developed in 1899 clarify us: 
November 9.-To the dawn of this day we undertook trip arriving to the place designated at eight in the morning, where we find a small cabin manufactured on a stone to the foot of the sea. This cabin is inhabited by a marriage like there it is habit to make. The male is of black race and the female a favored youth, Indian for color and I eat of a 17 year-old age. Said black it takes for name José Triana and the woman Ramona Moreira. I asked them if they felt happy with that life, answering me the youth that that independence made him happier and for more reasons because he/she didn't have anything to the one who to request or to bother. That she had been born in those places and that he/she didn't know what was a town, a railroad, neither other things on which I asked him. Their foods consist on jaibas, jutías meat, and herbs. 
Hating me the situation of those unhappy ones that nudes live to be this way to their pleasure, I left that place bound for Key Caimira and The Alone one..."
